Physician ( Specialty & Ancillary)
The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, Dublin, Georgia is currently recruiting for a Physician with Board Certification in Internal Medicine/Family Practice or one of the Specialty and Ancillary Service Line Medical Specialties who will serve as the Chief of Specialty and Ancillary Services.

This position will oversee the clinical and administrative operations for a growing group of specialty providers including Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology and Dental in addition to Audiology services.
Presently the specialty services are located in the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center along with Audiology, which also has providers in Albany GA.
The incumbent will be an operational, working physician chief with at least 50% time dedicated to administrative duties and 50% of time devoted to clinical care.
Responsible of the day to day operations including assignments, ensuring coverage, and working collaboratively with several other service lines to accomplish the mission.
Will be responsible for attending national and VISN training and conference calls.
Will assist with consult management, SAIL (Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning) improvements ensuring good communication and smooth hand offs within the VA and with Veterans referred outside of the hospital when appropriate, Will lead a diverse group of personnel which includes physicians, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, dentist, audiologists, health technicians and clerical/administrative staff.
Will be responsible for the administrative direction of the service line including position management, leave administration, performance management, labor relations and other related responsibilities.
Responsible for developing, directing and inter grating multidisciplinary programs for the delivery of clinical services in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner.
Will perform, monitor and assess clinical competencies and practices.
Will develop action plans to maintain and improve Specialty Care efficiency, clinic capacity and utilization of resources to enhance patient care and meet required quality performance indicators.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Tour of Duty:
Monday - Friday, 8:
00 am to 4:
30 pm.
Will be available at any other time needed.
