Physician (Chief of Radiology)

The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center is currently recruiting for a Physician with Board certification in Radiology who will also serve as the Chief of Radiology Services.
The Radiology Chief will serve as the clinical administrative leader for diagnostic imaging service for the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center (VAMC) and its affiliated clinics, reporting to the facility Chief of Staff.
Will support and supervise a team of Radiologist, Technologists and Medical Support Staff engaged in the provision of imaging exams and procedures to include ; Ultrasound, Radiography, MRI, CT, Mammography, DEXA, Flouroscopy, iInterventional procedures and Nuclear Medicine exams and treatments.
Will Develop polices and procedures, daily direction of the administrative and clinical operations of the Radiology Service, meeting productivity and quality goals, strategic planning, and managing work and leave schedules for the Radiologist/Nuclear Medicine Physicians.
Will supervise the daily activities and coordinate coverage for the Radiology Department.
Works on a daily basis with a Radiology Administrative Officer and the Chief Technologist to meet the imaging needs of patients.
Is the approving service official for Human Resource management matters.
Is expected to perform some direct patient care clinical duties ad to be competent in reading the full range of diagnostic imaging modalities including MRI, CT, US and NM.
Will provide leadership to ensure achievement of the clinical, research and education goals as well as applicable performance measures.
Serves on various committees within the facility.
Administrative and Staff supervisor experience is preferred.
Tour of Duty:
Monday - Friday, 8:
00 am to 4:
30 pm.
On call duties on weekends, night and holiday coverage as necessary.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
