Administrative Officer

The incumbent provides administrative support and supervision to clerical staff in all program areas of Health Administration Services (HAS).
Direction and performance of administrative functions which include administration, human resources management, budget and finance, management and program analysis, office support services, document control, logistics, and a variety of related administrative matters.
o Provides technical and administrative supervision of subordinate staff o Acts as the liaison with the human resources office concerning personnel-related matters o Provides advice and assistance concerning Federal and agency personnel processes and procedures o Assists managers in projecting staffing needs, writing position descriptions, developing job analyses, preparing performance plans and appraisals, and processing training requests o Discusses, investigates and responds to employees' grievances and dissatisfactions in order to resolve conflicts o Represents management at labor management meetings o Provides budget formulation, justification, and execution o Initiates and prepares contracts to secure adequate resources, communicating with contractors o Develops, implements, and interprets administrative policies providing advice to management o Analyzes and determines efficiency of management techniques, processes, and styles o Provides advice on the distribution of workload among positions and organizations o Trains and develops tools to assist managers in utilizing data and reports o Develops and enhances computer programs to maintain, manipulate, and analyze data o Develops recommendations for overall performance enhancement o Analyzes and evaluates the impact of objectives, operations, and resources o Actively participates in a variety of teams and workgroups with representatives from all levels of VA and private concerns Work Schedule:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
